My First ISM Business Symposium

This past week I worked on two main things: the ISM Business Symposium and getting more research interviews. For the ISM Business Symposium I spent some time before by preparing some questions for any health professionals if I got to interact with any of them. At the symposium I was given the opportunity to participate in many activities helpful to my ISM journey, such as business professionalism and great advice from the ISM alumni. The professionals that were there gave some amazing advice that I made sure to take note of, such as the importance of loving your job and knowing when you are ready. I also got the opportunity to talk to other students who are also taking ISM, and while talking to some other students I got to learn about their journey and how they have approached it at this point in the year, we also exchanged ideas and contacts as a way of networking. After the business symposium, I shifted my focus back on talking to more professionals for my research interviews. As of writing this, I have only done 1 interview and almost have another one scheduled. I should have 2 more interviews done which will bring the total up to 3. This next week my goal is to start some more in depth research for my original work and complete my research assessment early on.
